Overview
Managers struggled to track organizational performance, since the insights they needed were buried in dense CSV files. Despite efforts to surface these insights during monthly presentations from customer success teams, their needs weren't being met.
Our research showed that managers need to track performance on an ongoing basis for two primary reasons: to effectively manage learners based on their progress and engagement, and to see their ROI.
We set out to provide managers personal access to these snapshots and summaries, enabling them to fully understand and effectively interact with their learners.
Solution
We built a dashboard offering detailed charts, clearly summarizing each key step of the learning journey. Managers can choose to view only the reports they’re interested in, and compare with past periods.
Charts and graphs were only the first step. Since managers need these insights in order to effectively manage learners, we made the dashboard interactive, so a detailed breakdown of learners and actions is a click away.
Outcomes
This feature is currently in development, but feedback from usability and feedback sessions with end users and our commercial team has overall been very positive. We’ll measure outcomes quantitatively by how much we can reduce monthly custom presentations, and qualitatively by how much value managers find in this method of tracking their organization’s activity.
